What this service is

Our Family Talking is a co-parenting communication and record-keeping service operated by IntentiveAI. Two parents under a custody arrangement use it to exchange messages, share a calendar, request expenses, and keep child information, and to export certified records of that activity. Courts and professionals can be granted read-only access to a case by a parent.

What we collect

• Account data: name, email address, password hash, and the brand and hostname you signed up through.
• Case data: everything you and your co-parent put into a case: messages, attachments, calendar entries, expense requests and receipts, and information-bank entries. This can include children’s names, school, medical, and insurance details.
• Record metadata: the time each message was sent, the time each recipient first viewed it, a hash chain over messages, and the record ID and digest of every export.
• Access logs: logins, professional views of a case, and administrative actions, kept in an audit log that both parents on a case can see.
• Billing data: subscription status and Stripe customer and subscription IDs. Card numbers are handled by Stripe and never touch our servers.
• Tone-guard results: a verdict and score for each message you send, used only for aggregate statistics. Blocked text is never stored.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not send message text to a third-party AI provider. The tone guard runs on hardware we operate.
• We do not monitor conversations, and we do not report to a court on our own initiative.
• We do not run third-party analytics or tracking scripts on this site.

Who can see case data

Both parents on a case. Any professional a parent has granted access to, for as long as the grant lasts. IntentiveAI staff, only when needed to operate the service, respond to a support request, or comply with a legal obligation, and every such access is logged.

Records you export can be read by whoever you give them to. The public verification page shows only the brand, generation time, page count, and digest of a record, never its contents.

How long we keep it

Case data is kept for as long as the case exists, because the point of the service is a durable record. Stopping payment does not delete anything: the account becomes read-only with exports still available. Account deletion requests are handled by hand through support@ourfamilytalking.com; where the other parent or a court order requires the record to be preserved, we will say so before acting.

Where it lives and how it is protected

Data is stored on servers in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest, with attachments kept on encrypted storage. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. We recommend a unique password and, when offered, multi-factor authentication.

Children

Accounts are for adults. Children’s information appears in a case only because a parent entered it, and only the parents and the professionals they authorize can see it.

Your rights

You can export your case at any time. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct account details, and ask us to delete your account. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to delete; we do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
